Non-linear Subdivision
##A Non-linear Subdivision Scheme for Triangle Meshes
Hi, I found this interesting method of subdivision that allows you to get smooth surfaces even when they are made by triangles, it could become, a third alternative that would save time by avoiding too much topology.
Interpolating Subdivision sample
I thought the best idea was to add in addition to the types of algorithms Catmull-Clark and Simple buttons or add a drop-down menu and select non-linear subdivision , for the controls are already sufficient those for subdivision surface modifier .
" A new non-linear subdivision scheme for the refinement of triangle meshes that generates smooth surfaces with minimum curvature variations. It is based on a combination of edge splitting operations and interpolation by blending circular arcs."

Seems very interesting but would be nice to show a before subdivision > after subdivision screenshot on a simple mesh in your proposal to get an idea of that feature before going through the pdfs.
Do you envision that this would be integrated with the existing subsurf modifier or would this be something entirely different? What would the controls look like in Blender? Would this be a toggle-able feature, or is it something that plays nice with the existing structure and would "just work" transparently?

@Paolo Furani: It might be good to include that in your proposal... perhaps with a mock-up of what the modifier panel would look like.
