Exlude "Deselect all" from "Repeat Last" (Shift + R) list
Example:
You doing your modeling and want to join vertices with repeat last command.
But every time I accidentally deselect all it becomes my "Repeat last" command.
I hardly can imagine who wants to repeat this command anyway, so why just not exclude it from the list of repeat last commands?

Almost all selecting operators (except select next element) should be excluded from repeat last.
All it's doing is going back a step in the undo list, and picking the previous action. So open your undo history and click a different previous action.
Or if you're constantly using a particular command, add it to your hotkeys or quick keys.
