solo node wires
Would be cool on messy node trees if you could box select node sockets and then press a hotkey to hide all other wires except those which are connected to those sockets. Re-routes should be ignored so that the full branch to the connected node is solo'd and not just up to the re-reroute.
Particularly handy in the compositor when it's difficult to see what's happening because of the noodle overload.

I had seen discussion about better higlighting single roots. I prefer beter higlighting and selecting chain. Something like this.

do you ever use Node Wrangler and its Ctrl+Shift+Click to preview from that point in the tree? Very useful.
I imagine it'd be difficult to only take a midpoint group of nodes. Anything that would really work as a solo seems it would have to work like how Node Wrangler already handles it.
* @devorecjd * I mean solo the actual wires rather than solo their output. Just to hide wires in the node editor when it's difficult to see which wires go where.
* @3d illusions * Aaah I see. That actually could be useful, or the above comment's solution by @vyacheslav
Might be worth adding some photos of what that could look like as others might have came to a similar conclusion as I did.
* @3d illusions * agree with Devorecjd: please explain more widely, and add pictures/schemes how it may look and work.
