Incremental Value Control
Incremental value control lets you insert an increment of a value after the cursor, this allows more precise fiddling.
just select a part of your value (this can be any value) and hit CTRL + "NUMPAD +" or CTRL + "NUMPAD -" to increment or decrement the value after the cursor.
The video showcasing this feature can be found here .

* @Thomas Paul * that proposal is great but you have to take into account that not every keyboard in every country has the [ and ] keys. For my German keyboard it is Alt Gr + 8 for [ and Alt Gr + 9 for ] so you might instead use numpad + and - like in the save file view with the file names increment and decrement
* @weasel * that's a very good point! Noted
This is little bit similar to the one I wrote years ago, I support your idea. I just link my one also here so that the ideas are linked. blender.community/c/rightclickselect/Mhbbbc/
Nice little feature, but I don't know if i would use it :) This is why:
What would probably work for me is clickless workflow (I'm lazy) For example hoover over value and ctrl + 1 to add 10, alt + 1 to substract 10, ctrl + 2 to add 1, alt + 2 to sub 1 and so on.
Btw. You should consider using default blender theme in your video (or at least sth brighter)
@grzelinskimat: I'm aware about the ctrl scroll wheel, but it doesn't offer control of a specific unit, like this, the unit is the most important part, for people who change very precise values like in materials, the incremental thing is to quickly view the change faster without having to delete and replace the value by another one.
@grzelinskimat: for example, when you're changing values to place a background image precisely, you have to sometimes go into the 0.001 units, which can be a pain, this workflow has been working quite well with Nuke in the VFX industry, it's extremely popular.
@Thomas Paul: ok then. I missed that the object is being updated with every change. And if this works well in other software it is worth trying. Anyways, nice job :)
