GUI picker
Hello!
Is it possible to add an inbuilt GUI picker to Blender 2.8? It would be such an amazing feature especially for animators (a picker like abx picker is simple and customizable)

It helps select things very quickly when we are dealing with bunch of controllers. Personally, when I animate in maya, I hide all the curves and use just the picker. It allows me to see the gesture and silhouette clearly without any distraction.
What do you guys think?

How would this look and work in Blender ? It's not really sufficient to point to another application (or a plugin for another application) and say, "Make it like that." Mock-ups and suggestions on how it would work from a user/rigger perspective are critical.
As for the feature itself (as far as I understand it), I've never been a fan of "control box" style rigs with pickers and what-not that you often see in Maya. When I animate, I want to just grab that part of the character and move it into place. That's just me, though.

Yea.. I guess it differs from animator to animator.
My suggession for a bare bone verion of the picker would be to have a simple window like the outliner and to have few options like "create", "remove" , etc. So, to create a button, we can select the object we want to create a button for and then click on "create" option to create the button. and we can have options to arrange and name the buttons.
Does it make any sense?
