MoGraph System – Cloner & Effector for Blender
Feature Request: Blender needs a dedicated MoGraph-style system similar to Cinema 4D’s Cloner & Effectors to enhance motion graphics workflows.
Why This Is Important: Currently, Blender users rely on Geometry Nodes for procedural instancing and transformations. However, this approach requires complex node setups and lacks an intuitive UI for fast-motion graphics work. A native MoGraph-like system would:
✔️ Speed up motion graphics workflows.
✔️ Provide intuitive controls for cloning, distributing, and animating objects.
✔️ Reduce the need for complex node setups or custom scripts.
Proposed Features:
1️⃣ Cloner Object:
Easily duplicate objects in grid, radial, linear, and custom patterns. Supports hierarchical setups like Cinema 4D’s Cloner.
2️⃣ Effectors:
Random, Step, Shader, Delay, and Sound Effectors to manipulate object attributes (position, scale, rotation, etc.). Ability to combine multiple effectors dynamically.
3️⃣ Animation-Friendly:
Keyframe-friendly effectors for procedural motion. Integration with Blender’s existing Animation Nodes & Geometry Nodes.
4️⃣ Performance Optimization:
GPU-friendly instancing for handling thousands of clones efficiently.
Why Blender Needs This:
Motion graphics artists often rely on Cinema 4D for its MoGraph tools, even when they use Blender for other tasks. Introducing an easy-to-use Cloner & Effector system would make Blender a powerful alternative for motion graphics, reducing the need for external software.
Comparison With Existing Tools:
Geometry Nodes: Powerful but requires manual node setups, making simple tasks more complex. Animation Nodes (Add-on): Useful, but not officially maintained. Particles/Modifiers: Not optimized for motion graphics workflows.
Conclusion:
A MoGraph-inspired system would fill a major gap in Blender, making it more competitive for motion graphics artists. This feature could integrate with Geometry Nodes while keeping a user-friendly UI for artists who prefer direct controls.

I'm sorry; it's simply not reasonable to list various features from the leading 3D motion graphics software, and request "please code all this."
There are already addon packages for motion graphics available, complete with lots of building blocks to use. I suggest you look into them.
As a former C4D user, I also missed and still miss all these MoGraph tools. I switched to Blender because in Geometry Nodes it's possible to build most of these features in some way. However, I think it would be amazing to have Geometry Node presets in Blender like the Hair Node setups that are already there. This would allow people to create cool effects without having to dive deep into the complex node system.
Hey there,
I’m in the same boat as you—waiting for those features to come to Blender, but I don’t think it’s going to happen anytime soon. With the focus on Geometry Nodes, it seems unlikely. If they had any plans to address this, they probably would have updated the existing Array Modifier by now. Because of this, I’m slowly making the switch to Cinema 4D.
There are several geometry node packages in blender market that are targeting towards this kind of feature.
