The only way for now is this old build if you want nurbs, but doesn't support IGES, and need some work around after import rhino 3dm, I mean saving the imported surfaces and open this with regular build, then go in edit mode and check the and select the end point V o U or some times both. is the only way for now. blender.community/c/graphicall/vkbbbc/%7Battachment Propeller5-Bladepng}{attachment C57_Nurbs_hullpng}{attachment Propeller6-Bladepng}
Nope, .iges file uses NURBS, converting it to other formats will turn NURBS into mesh. Mesh surfaces are not mathematically computed, vs. NURBS are. I need to work with NURBS inside Blender, writing Nurbs code and so on.
couldn't you just use converter that supports IGES?
* @Pawel Piotrowski * Such as?
* @ Lsscpp * FreeCAD can import .igs & .iges files and export them as objs to some extend. And as it says in the name it is free too.
* @Pawel Piotrowski * , that's a valid work-around . But the request is valid too: some industry must be using IGES and supporting a number of formats is always good.
This is a suggestion site, isn't it? Not a process site.

* @Blenderer * I have a number of applications that can do that, 3ds Max, Audodesk Alias, Solidworks, Rhino, etc. However, I'm not looking for a converter, I want the .iges file as is, NURBS.
* @june.wang05 * Yeah I realized that this was most likely the case, after I posted my comment. But however have you seen this Branch blender.community/c/graphicall/vkbbbc/ it was pretty unstable when I tested it with some rhino files a while ago, but it looks promising.
