Different bevel profiles or bevel profile editor if possible
I think it would be possible to automatically create different bevel profiles with the beveling tools if some additional controls and code added.
If someone can review the idea of the profile editor if it can be possible it could be even better.
The target of this tool would be to be able to create for example bevels like these:
The editor should be in tool properties, or it should be activated at least from there. (F6)
If it's possible to have a curve editor that allows selecting the corners to be either sharp or rounded in the curve, it would be perfect.
The problem is that how do we control the bevel resolution? It would also be nice if the curve editor would in fly show how the bevel will look. (That would need to have some sort of curve multiresolution sort of thing, that can add or remove control points automatically)

Yeah, bevel profiles are nice sometimes..
How would you propose that users create and edit bevel profiles? Would it be similar to the curve editor for sculpt brush fall-off? Where would it be in the Blender interface? Don't just show the results of this feature, show how you envision it looking and working.

@Artturi Mäntysaari: In tool properties? OH! I thought you meant that this would be for the bevel modifier (as opposed to the bevel operator). OK. I can see where it would fit there.
That said... do you think this would be useful to the bevel modifier as well?
@Jason van Gumster: I've been told that adding features to modifiers is a tricky process that needs much time from the programmer to do. So I didn't bother to ask. But yes, I think it would be very useful also on there.
Archipack (1.3.8) does implement a profile editor. Could make an addon to extend regular curve ability. see youtu.be/qnzFCYZrT24 as reference
@stephen: That looks really interesting. I think I need to take a look on that. :)
It is one of the current objectives of the GSOC, Howard has been interested in it for a long time, but as its complexity becomes apparent, it is the main stumbling block.
