Procedural "cloning" / reprojection / repeat feature
- youtu.be/joDoCiFC4Ig here is demo of repeat function in zbrush I guess it works some how recording x and y movements and then re-projecting that movement again. This would be addition for sculpt/texturing.
2.Also some kind of procedural strokes to control displacement would be nice - change texture and path based projection would regenerate the texture. .This kind of procedural texturing would be good for generating animations - textured lego faces with procedural lines and shapes - like greasepencil but projected into 2d texture and still having possibility to edit/animate it in 2d view and then projecting it onto 3d surface -with keyshapes. this would be needed to make mixed 2d and 3d animation more flexible. Something like..well this is quite close : youtu.be/skuheGk1mVE this is promising but not "full featured" but still very interesting add-on - or if grease pencil could be used in 2d view / uv-editor window and animated and still projected in realtime for objects surfaces by texture shadering layer.
- I also wonder would it be possible to generate clone path tool: first step would be: generate path that will be cloned - then brush / clone where ever you want and your clone path will be cloned (also loop option would be handy - loop that would go path start - end - start - end until user stop cloning and set new path option for cloning. Also direction should be considered in calculations and there should be option for this feature i guess.
So i hope somebody will get the idea: procedural way to copy / clone / reproject - reprojection could be used for many purposes.
