Box mapping (triplanar) through shader behaves weirdly

The box mapping at shader level behaves weirdly when controlled with a target object (empty). In particular, if you target an empty with the texture coordinate node I would have expected that the box that project the texture would project according to the linked empty orientation, instead it does not work like that, the rotation of the empty rotates the texture in it's UV space and do not rotate the box that project the texture itself, because of that if you rotate the target empty the texture is stretched in any custom angle other than 0 in xyz, which makes basically useless the target object feature of the texture coordinate node. The only way to rotate the box orientation is by rotating the actual origin of the original object on which we are trying to apply the texture, but this is very limiting because origins are usually used for animation and it's usually not a good idea to rotate them only for texturing reasons texture triplanar.jpg .
