Release Blender on Steam China
Hello there,
Will you release your products on Steam China?
Steam China, established by Valve and the Chinese game company Perfect World, was launched on February 9, 2021. This is the only Steam version that is legally operated in the Chinese mainland.
I understand that publishing software on Steam China does not require additional approval. Just configure the relevant information in Steamworks and replace the word "Steam" in the software with "Steam China" (蒸汽平台). And it must support Simplified Chinese.

I am not an employee of Valve or Perfect World. This consultation is just out of curiosity. After all, your company's products are relatively well-known in the Chinese mainland. :)

Would then something in Blender has be "edited" because China govermant want it to be such?
If you OK with your goverment, which is against freedoms, so you have to be OK with Steam without lot of things obvious for other parts of the world, where freedoms is in basic human rights. If you not OK with this so go change your goverment.
Steam presented in China in current "special" form just because such companies are greedy to big money. Blender is not about money at all...
