Can be this to droplist menus adjustable ? when naming scene long titles are not visible even with a lot of space at both sides in this bar

I also wish the importance and relevance of these 2 panels to the Blender workflow could be made more prominant via their appearance and placement in the UI. As a beginner I had no idea what these things were for and there seemed to be no obvious relationship between them and anything else.
