(Ctrl + End = to set end frame) Should work in "Movie Editor Clip Panel - Tracking Mode"

In the "Timeline" Panel by clicking (Ctrl + End) you can set the end of the playback range to the current time indicator

If the same shortcut (Ctrl + End) will work in the Movie Editor Clip Panel... It will do wonders
