Features that would allow for a simplified workflow

2.93's Layer Transform Parameters look like they'll be a great feature for those who want to use a simple Grease Pencil workflow. It got me thinking about other similar features that could be implemented, allowing for animators to easily make complex animations while only using one Grease Pencil Object. Five ideas come to mind.

Single Layer Effects - The option to apply GP effects to specific layers on a GP Object (And in that vein, I wonder if it would even be possible to apply effects to specific materials?).

Layer Parenting & Constraints - The option to parent layers together so they'll match transforms would be extremely useful, and open up the possibility to do basic cutout animation without needing to make a proper rig.

Set Layer Pivot - This would be an addition to the Layer Transform Parameters, allowing you to set a pivot point for the layer you're transforming to scale and rotate around. This is another feature that would be useful for those wanting to make simple cutout characters.

Reordering Layers - I think it would be extremely useful to be able to change & keyframe the order in which layers appear in front of each other. As of right now, the only way to change the order of two drawings is by having them be separate GP Objects and manually moving them in 3D space.

Layer Groups/Folders - In order to make a full animation in a single GP Object, it would be important to keep layers organized. This feature would be a huge help. Especially if the four previously suggested features could be applied on whole layer groups at once.

Grease Pencil is an incredibly powerful tool for mixing 2D and 3D animation. But for those who don't want to use the 3D features (Whether they're just making simple storyboards, or are intimidated by the 3D features and want to start small), the user experience can be a little clunky. I think my proposed features would make Grease Pencil much more viable for simple 2D animation workflows, and also more accessible for beginners.
