Request for Enhancement - "Quick Edit" Button in Boolean Modifier Panel
Dear Blender Developers,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share an idea for improving the workflow in Blender, specifically regarding the boolean modifier panel.
Currently, when using a Boolean modifier to cut a hole in an object, the process of editing the shape of the cutting object can be somewhat cumbersome. Users often need to locate the name of the cutting object, which is frequently auto-generated by addons like Box Cutter, and then navigate to the Outliner to select and edit the object by pressing the Tab key.
I propose the addition of a "Quick Edit" button alongside the object name within the boolean modifier panel. This small yet significant enhancement would provide users with a more accessible and efficient way to edit the shape of the cutting object. By simply clicking the pencil icon next to the object name in the boolean modifier panel, users would be instantly taken to the object's editing mode, saving valuable time and effort.
Implementing this "Quick Edit" button would streamline the workflow for users working with boolean modifiers, improving their overall productivity and enhancing the user experience within Blender.
Thank you for considering this suggestion. I genuinely appreciate the continuous efforts of the Blender team in making the software more user-friendly. Please let me know if you require any further information or have any questions regarding this proposal.
