Reset Value with Mark
Currently Blender with right click on the value has Reset to Default Value, but it returns any value to ZERO.
The concept is not new, I got the idea from Davinci Resolve from the Fusion module, this allows to manipulate the values but always return to the original state either by value or restore all its values.
Why separate the values from the bar: This would allow to leave a mark on the bar and when manipulating the value it would not be mounted on top of the number.
This mark could be snapped or clicked on to restore its value.
This change would allow to manipulate the values as Blender has always handled even selecting several values at once and changing in the value column, but also improves the interface to be able to manipulate any value and always be able to return to the initial point of configuration.

Correction: it does reset to the default value, which sometimes happens to be zero, and there is a disconnect between what is hard-coded as default value and what we actually get as default value when opening blender. That's the main issue that should be fixed.
Separating settings in even more widgets seems counter-productive to me, it creates more clutter just to fix a broken system.
You are right in some properties by right clicking and Reset Default Value returns to the original configuration value, but then what does not exist is to restore values by (block, module or property) I do not know how to call the set that has several parameters.
And with respect to separate values of the slider bar is intended to improve the display to mark the originally set parameter, perhaps with an external mark as shown in the video.
The idea is to orient after manipulating all the parameters and return the configuration in the case that we are not convinced.
Ok I got it! Yes indeed, that could be cool :o
Maybe there could be such thing per panels/subpanels, nodes and such.
Though for the UI, it would still first require to fix the "reset do default" behavior by somehow matching the default value with the "whatever value we have at first usage". I did a little search on Blender's tracker and it seems that it's been a known issue for a while, so hopefully it will get fixed one day:
For the UI side, I am not convinced adding more widgets is the way to go. There surely are more elegant ways to do this without changing the current design.
Could you some examples where there is needed "default" settings?
Almost everywhere you have to change settings such as Blender preferences or Render settings or the original settings of a material.
We are always manipulating parameters and after manipulating some parameters in blender there is no way to go back to the original settings.

Yeah but it doesn't mean the defaults are good defaults, for example why is AO in eevee has 0.2 m distance? Or the bloom intensity ? etc etc...
It is expected that the development team based on their experience, calculations, expertise, references, studies, research, place an initial configuration that is a starting point for users (novice, intermediate, expert) to modify to your liking and as required.
Can't agree with this one "it is expected" but okay, my point being the initial configuration doesn't really exist it's just a placeholder in a way
