variable edge crease from connected vertex crease
if an edge that has creasing ends with vertices that have vertex crease, then the edge crease could have a gradient along it's length to create a variable strength. The gradient would be described by the strength of the connected vertices.
Edge crease would act as a multiplier. For example:
. ----------- . left vert = 1, right vert = 0.5, edge crease = 1. This would create a graident going from 1 to 0.5.
if the edge crease was changed to 0.5, then the gradient would go from 0.5 to 0.25.
Perhaps there could also be a checkbox in the bevel modifier to use the vertex crease to create a gradient edge bevel weight in the same way? Then we could have a variable bevel.
