Select all within multiple collections

The 2.91 outliner got lots improvements thx! - specially the color tags are really nice! But what i still miss is an easy way to select the content inside multiple collections. You just can unfold the collections and (box) select the elements inside (did i miss something?) which is tedious.

Ideas how to improve: Select multiple collections, they turn blue (in my UI) and then:

  • right click "Select Objects", but please all! objects not just from the active selected Collection.
  • immediately select all objects within the selected collections (why not?).
  • ctrl+shift to select the content.

BTW. this issue was addressed several times before, but i thought i would be improved during 2020 GSoC.

* @isochrom1 * The design document Outliner presented here developer.blender.org/T77408 does not yet state such a possibility.

I found a script that does this I'm currently trying to upgrade it So it functions correctly There's a bug in it...If somebody could help me with that... Then a working script would be posted here so anybody that finds this thread searching for this answer would have access to a working workaround until blender can incorporate something better.... drive.google.com/open
