Search bar for Vertex Groups

Hi guys, sometimes we have just too many Vertex Groups in our models, specially when working with fully rigged models (Considering Blender stores the weights informations in Vertex Groups)

Many times we can find ourselves working trying to find some specific vertex group to reassign something or remove the weights of something. When working with armor or robots, for example, this may be the way to go to rig that correctly (Many of us know the hells of trying to do It by Weight Painting and often times it leads to bendy results, unlike hard surface)

In these moments the only pain might be to find the actual group you are looking for, therefore, A search bar for these Vertex Groups would be fantastic!

What do you mean by search bar? Something else than the one that already exists?

So that triangle that now opens a search field, isn't what you are looking for?

TBH, I spent a few minutes looking for other examples in python to see if I could find a solution, then I created a ton of empty groups and renamed one of them. I realized when scrolling that the triangle was there, and pressing it allowed the search space. I had forgotten it was there.

A triangle isn't a common symbol for search function.

It could be a magnifying glass or something, but basically that triangle is a closed foldout, and it doesn't help that tooltip says 'filtering options' , as that is what that hidden toolbar is for, but of course the filtering also works as a search tool.

I think pressing space would be nice to bring up the search menu. Just like how this brings up a search menu when you go over File / Edit / Render / Window / Help. This way it doesn't clutter the UI.
