Stylized FX/Particles need a serious uhaul

Blender is really good at realistic particles like dust effects, water, rain, lighting, etc. but it's really not good at other facets of particle/effect animation that I really wish it had. Especially with the new NPR nodes in 4.4, I think making 2d stylized effects should be the next direction to go in.

Unity has the best real-time particle animation in my opinion, but i'm not a game developer-so the workarounds to try to animate and create from blender to unity has been tedious and not very productive in my opinion.

My ideal scenario would be to be able to animate in blender alongside with a system for animating effects that is on par with unity, which I think would benefit a lot of artists for making things like fight scenes or characters with magical abilities or any other high energy sequences that are heightened by effects. The limitations right now make it kind-of possible, but very very difficult. Capture-2025-07-18-191730.png

Just comparing the blender market store and the unity asset store, it's clear that each software excels at a certain type of particles and effects, I'd really like to see some progression for blender with expanded versatility for making effects.
