double-tap M to repeat merge operation

hello all, i'm finding myself editing my mesh and merging vertices 'at center' a few times and i tried double-tapping M to see if it would repeat the last 'merge at' operation.

Wouldn't it be neat and make it quicker to work if, after selecting verts, double-tapping M would perform the last performed 'merge at' operation?

So you select two verts, tap M and select 'at center'. Next, you select another two verts and simply double tap M and they'll merge at center as well.

I think it could be a time saver.

Does anybody see an issue with this?
