Thumbnails in the open dialog box

I was thinking that it would be great to be able to see thumbnails in the open dialog box when you search for files. it would make understanding what files you have available easier. I know that 3DS Max has it as I use that software a lot. However I'm trying to go over to blender as blender is coming out with some amazing things.
