Change image editor sample tool (eyedropper) to always display the value from last selection
Problem:
Currently, you have to click and hold using the sample tool to update the color information that is displayed in the footer. When you release the mouse button the color info disappears. This makes it tedious to check color values and then reference them on quickly without writing it down (which you have to do while holding down the mouse button...).
Solution:
Just make it so that the color info that was last displayed when the mouse button was released stays in the footer.
Nice to have:
Ideally, there would be a visual indicator of which pixel the info is being displayed for, but this isn't strictly necessary to resolve the main issue.

I'd go even further:
The Sample active tool could have its footer permanently displayed as soon as the tool is active :
Let's have the toolbar open and the Sampler tool should be selected by default .
Right now, the toolbar is closed by default and no tools are selected. So the Left 🖱️ does strictly nothing. We might as well have it useful from the get-go.
The "temporary" sampler on Right 🖱️ could be replaced by a useful context menu with common operations you would expect, like copy, basic transforms, pack, ...
