Purely visual Gizmo

Often I'd find it useful to have a viewport Gizmo but only to show me the transformation axis that I'm currently working with and without any transform handles that are easily clicked on by mistake. I therefore propose a "purely visual gizmo" that is not clickable and only displays the xyz axis like seen in the screenshot. This gizmo could be active when the "Active Object" Option in the Gizmo menu is clicked but none of the transform gizmos is checked.
