select scene objects from the spacebar menu
It would be great if you could press spacebar, and then start typing the name of an object to select it from an autocomplete dropdown.
Maybe ctrl + shift + spacebar , so that it doesnt include all the normal blender functions which are searchable via spacebar on it's own.

I think this is great idea. I don't think this needs its own keyboard shortcut as you can just put a tickbox in the spacebar search to "search objects" so it doesn't clutter the normal search.
