Why not create a "universal" addon ? to make the "EEvEE" transition ?

I noticed that a lot of useful addons I used for 2.79 (most for importing meshes....) won't be useable (until different developpers would adapt them for it) on 2.8 and I NEED them. So at this time all my new work is so annoying to deal with, to convert my old stuff.

I'm not a coder but i suppose if someone could work on it ONCE, it would be useful to get "old 2.79 scripts" work again with the new Blender 2.8 ?

Or am I too fool to hope such a great thing ?
