Steam Beta
Why doesnt the steam version of Blender use steams opt-in beta feature. I really need that beta Blender fix but I dont want to download the standalone for just playing around with a beta version

Why not try Blender Launcher the standalone client for managing official builds of Blender 3D? i mean Steam is just another launcher.
github.com/DotBow/Blender-Launcher
goto blender download as zip any version you like (works out the folder)
While this would be great, my guess would be that it has to do with verification and the buildbot not being able to work together very well.
