Grid color should automatically contrast with background
I set my viewport color to white but grids almost match the color which makes them practically invisible. there can be a threshold like if the brightness of theme change the grid should make opposite value like S-curve in contrast

Have you tried to change the grid color in the Preferences > Themes > 3D Viewport > Grid setting ?
* @ xan2622 * Yeah, that seems the most reasonable to me than developing an algorithm just to counterbalance the user's themes changes to keep contrast. And you end up with a messy thing that changes the colors you didn't ask.
And what would justify not having this literally everywhere ?
