Use AMD prorender USD and Vulkan integration instead to save development efforts
Use AMD prorender USD integration instead of trying to invent the wheel twice.
Why do we need a seperate usd integration in Blender if amd is already doing this with their amazing prorender engine? It doesn't make any sense to invent the hot water twice. Prorender uses open standards, is cross platform. Prorender uses Vulkan. What else do we want?

i want a bevel shader. any renderer that doesn't have a bevel node or 'round edge' capabilities is an instant fail for me.
Prorender isn't Cycles.
(And for what it's worth, adds several seconds to the startup time.)
I'll post a request on the amd forum for the bevel node shader
