Grease Pencil better layers selection

Right now to it's hard to know which layer a stroke is on. I have to use fade-layer-overlays and autolock-selected-layer, and go one by one to see which gets highlighted.

It'd be nice if you could right click a spot on the canvas like in photoshop, and see which layers have an object there. This will be good for draw mode.

For edit mode, it'd be cool to highlight the layers that have objects currently selected.
