Partial refactor - Use MLT
Hello everyone. As in subject, I propose to use MLT framework for audio/video editing (it includes audio and video filters, and some kind of audio synthesizer thanks to SoX, which can replace AudaSpace, and a multithreaded video editing engine, which can replace actual video editor).

Well, I know a very little about inner code details in Blender, I just guess it's possible to use mlt for the video editing portion by replacing actual ffmpeg code, and integrate sox with the remaining audio engine. Audaspace is good, but sox is proven standard, as mlt is for video. Unfortunately, I can't go deeper in details.
If you're going to propose a refactor as extensive as this, then you're going to have to very specifically enumerate all of the ways in which the replacement is superior to what's already in place. In particular, you'll need to ensure that with such a refactor there will be no regressions with respect to what can already be done in Blender. If there are things that Blender can currently do that aren't currently supported by the MLT framework, you'll need to explain how that gap can be filled.
