Corrective Smooth Modifier Apply As SkinWeight
Any chance to have an option to apply Corrective Smooth Modifier result to skin weights?
This could make the weight painting process faster and while keeping smooth deformation.
This option could either in the modifier DropDown menu ie "Apply As Skin Weight"
There's a similar tools out there for Maya and 3dsmax and they all are thirdparty/inhouse plugins which doesn't comes built in.
for reference:
- For Maya DM2Skin Video
- DM2Skin Repo This one on python actually.
- For Maya Hans Godard inhouse Tool Used by Blizzard If I'm Not Mistaken
- 3ds Plugins

This is not a straightforward operation, the solutions given are actually example of a more general system to generate weights from example poses/deformations, which would definitely be a useful blender feature, but should probably be a more general operator than just for corrective smooth.
* @jackwightonsimpson * Oh that's interesting, but i'm not sure how it going to work since i'm mostly familiar working with corrective smooth/deltamush to skin weights
* @reanimate * The maya DM2Skin plugin is actually just this, a skin weighting by examples method. My point is that it shouldn't be specific to the corrective smooth modifier as it can also be combined with things like quick corrective shapes in some poses or simulations etc to bake them down to helper bones
* @jackwightonsimpson * Oooh i see i totally forgot about baking simulation to helper bones.
I'm actually surprised that blender doesn't have this function since DeltaMush Modifier are available already
YES PLEASE!
