Typing leading Zeros auto-completes Decimal Point
Typing 05 Enter becomes 0.5
005 becomes 0.05 etc.
The argument for it would be that a lot in blender happens in the 0.0 - 1.0 range, so it could make sense

I'm not sure I understand the advantage of this. Is the period/dot button really that far away?
I know that for myself, this would be confusing and unexpected behavior (I tend to add leading zeros by mistake when I type numbers, so I expect that zero to just disappear unless I add the decimal point). How would it be obvious to users what's going on here?
@Jason van Gumster:
The idea came because many laptops have no numpad, so it is in fact a bit fast without a decimal
and also the thought was nobody would add leading zeros without intent to write a fraction (which is obviously not true for you)
