Sequencing groups

Maybe I am missing something, it seems like to me at one point, I could create groups, and their time references would be in relation to the local groups. I could tab in and out of the group and review the parent of the group in its own frame of reference. Has this changed recently? The reference I have not seems to be to the global parent, not the local group, which is just awkward, especially when I want to resize bits of the group, move clips around in the group, and then jump back out to the parent and arrange them in reference to each other. Thanks...

Additionally, group specific zooms, pans, etc, would be fantastic. Again not sure what has changed, but IIRC this was far more intuitive to navigate in prior versions; whatever the changes were today, seem to have been in the wrong direction with it.

Working with it a little more, in other words better differentiation between world and local coordinates, or the VE analog thereof, if that makes sense. One case in particular, when strips are grouped, the strip itself in the group, starts, ends, are what is reported, not the group itself, which I think it should be. i.e. starts ends for the group itself is what is important. Dragging strips inside the group around, before or after the group starts ends effectively crops that portion out, very intentionally I might add. Anything preceding or trailing the group starts ends is intentionally ignored on purpose.

Appreciate y'all looking into this. Let me know if I can clarify at all.
