The new 3D Cursor needs an updated widget
After I have seen this: youtube.com/watch I think that the 3D cursor needs an updated 3D geometry(icon or widget or whatever it is called) to make it more clear how it is oriented and also that it is really new.

Maybe you should make a graphic that proposes something more specific. As it stands "make it better" isn't all that actionable.
@Jason van Gumster: Apparently from the other comments it is quite obvious what I am suggesting.
@roccoor: To the contrary, it isn't obvious. Please do not make assumptions and lean towards clarity. Everyone has different opinions about what things should look like and how they behave. Be as specific an clear as you can. No two people's idea of "better" is the same.
@Jason van Gumster: You have a point. I have added a quick and lazy mock-up which I guess is quite ugly but should convey the idea as a quick, first attempt for now.

I think just making the legs of the cross hair red green and blue would do the trick.
I think a floating 3d gyro compass with x,y,z,-x,-y,-z instead of n,w,s,e,nw,ne,sw would look awesome!
