Option to replace Grease Pencil object with mesh in Link/ Transfer data (Ctrl+l)

I want to use Grease Pencil to sketch out my scene in top view and replace the objects I sketched with meshes. The mesh object should be oriented to the origin of the Grease Pencil object.
