Fisheye effect in eevee and workbench
It would be cool if eevee and workbench would both support the cool looking fisheye effect, cause if you have an heavy scene with fisheye effect you can't really preview it in eevee, cause in the cycles render the objects are distorted and sometimes in other places than i finall render. If think some game engine support this effect, so it would be maybe possible in eevee and workbench.
But I am no shader dev, not sure.

I agree camera settings should be engine-independent. Freestyle too.
I totally agree, I don't know what the technical limitations are but it would be really helpful
Equirretangular camera in EEVEE could be a game changing. Five years ago I just re-render an advertisement that I had done in Cycles with equrretangular camera. Because I had read the news that since a day ago Yutube was supoting 360 videos. There was no one video made totaly in 3D and 360 untill that moment on youtube. It has more than 600k views today. :c) youtube.com/watch
As I produce content for the Planetarium, I 100% Agree. In July, I will give a talk at Fulldomefestival in Jena about Blender and Fulldome Production and since a huge chunk of the fulldome community will be there, I plan to point the people to some kind of survey I intend to hand over to the eevee developers.
Who if not the planetarium community can signal interest in this feature!
still needed !!
Yesss! It will be maybe added as part of the eevee next project: projects.blender.org/blender/blender/issues/93220
Yes, it's very annoying having to work in render mode when the scene is heavy. Wished it would reflect the panoramic view in solid mode when viewing through the camera and not just in rendered mode..
