Do not auto-convert uploaded GIFs in comments
Right now, if you upload any image to a comment, it's automatically converted to a JPEG. I suspect that this is to save disk space, but the problem is when the file being uploaded is an animated GIF, the animation is lost because JPEG doesn't support animation.
It would be nice if GIFs could be excluded from auto-conversion. Alternatively, if that's not possible, then a simple user notification that their uploaded file has been processed and that if it's an animated GIF they should use a separate image hosting service.

* @zgorg2004 * Yes you can use markdown anyway. But it's much more user friendly to be able to just drag n drop your file in the text editor, which is already possible but converts to static picture.
* @-L0Lock- * in fact I did exactly this and indeed the gif was converted in jpeg and static. that's why I opened a request and Jason told me he will do a meta and then I deleted my subject. do you think it could be corrected to work? I was asking about the possibility to delete a comment too. because sometime you do a comment and finally change your mind. I ask again just in case you know someone who could do it. or if somebody else see this. I think this is needed. for some people it should seem very easy to do a gif using the given info about code but for most of people not at ease with coding, I think it makes the task difficult. even doing a gif is not easy. finding the good resolution, a software that could do it...of course this is interesting to learn but I think a tuto or an help could be useful. gif are very efficient to show ideas there.
Oops, I've been converting my jpegs to gif to save memory!
