The ability to offset baked simulation
Here is the standard workflow of Marvelous Designer for cloth simulation with character animation:
- Put clothes patterns on the character in T pose
- Run the simulation until the clothes fit the character
- Run character animation
In Blender, it's rather awkward, because simulation and animation are on the same timeline. One has to start the simulation at a negative frame, or start the animation at a very late frame, or even use this weird hack ( blender.stackexchange.com/a/45962/88805 ) to move baked simulation.
If we can simply offset baked simulation it'd be much easier.
