Light Linking should be moved to LIGHTS

i noticed that Blender devs has the ability to push options anywhere, but not to where they belong. for some reason Light Linking, Shadow Linking are in the shading section. although it is logical that these options should relate to the light source. look at how it is done in Maya (probably in other editors as well). light_linking.png

It's under Object > Shading , because it's an object-level property, all object types have an "Object" tab, so it's consistent in that way. Always in the same place.

In your mockup you put it under Light Properties , where would you put it for light emitting mesh or curve objects?

how much of users using meshes for lighting? how much using Lights? in %. i can bet that the vast majority of players use standard light. for those who like mesh as light source, who likes difficulties, digging around in the interface, looking for where the hell everything is buried and spending time for that, you can leave it where it is now. but for the Lights - its exact right place, imho.

maybe it could be in both places at once 😉

that would be a compromise
