GP Layer Favorites and hotkeys

When animating, I find myself going between the same couple layers for each part I'm animating. It would be nice if I could use hotkeys so that I don't have to keep going between the viewport and the layer list (which is kinda long because layer grouping isn't supported yet, so every time I select a layer I have to find it).

My idea to solve this would be to have a Layer Favorites system that you could add and remove layers from, and then select the corresponding layer with a hotkey. The default hotkeys could be something like shift + the number in the list. It could also be in a pie menu, or a popup list like we have with Quick Favorites, but I personally don't like popup menus if you can do it with one key combination instead of a key and then selecting an option with the mouse.
