Toggle collection by Shift+Numpad (near the mouse)
This is a small suggestion of ui tweak; instead of toggling the collection by Shift+ numbers (above letters), it is convenient to toggle with Shift+numpad (near mouse) especially when you have very good numbers of collection. more reasons are here-

It is quite difficult to press Shift+8, you have to stretch your whole hand but instead you can easily press Shift+numpad 8, this even become worse if you have two digit collection but with numpad button it can be very easy to do, also it is the habit to do numeric operation by numpad.

if you have lets say a collection named House which is your second collection and inside that you have 6 floors then there no way to just hide the collection of object in third floor but with the help of numpad you can just type Shift+2.3 and it will hide the third floor in building collection.

Hello,
Adding the use of NumPad digits would seem to be a small change, but you suggest the ability to identify sub-collections (i.e., "2.3") which would be a new feature, and perhaps not easily implemented - a keyboard shortcut that accepts variable decimal input. At least I think it would be a new feature, but i have no easy way to check. When Collections were introduced with these shortcuts, I went through the keymap and disabled them all. You see, my typing skills are marginal at best, and I am always hitting the wrong key. Normally I just undo with CTRL-Z, but when my 3D-vieport suddenly changes (things appearing/disappearing), figuring out which key I hit and how to undo the damage was annoying.
As a result I use the outliner to hide/unhide collections. These shortcuts are a carry over from the limited layer concept, and I would prefer to scrap the whole thing and free up the keymap (1...0) for other things. For instance I would find it more useful to use them to change workspaces: (under default settings) 1 would go to Layout, 2 for Sculpting, etc. (Remember the CTRL-Right Arrow and CTRL-Left Arrow shortcuts? Those were good times ...)
