The best rebranding is new interface. So no, it is not needed.
Also style of logo and other stuff changing slightly. Evolving with time and Blender itself.

I see rebranding as a way to distinguish between eras BC/AD. It would be great to look at your files, addons, youtube, and asset and see a differences between the major versions of blender.

Why ? I don't see the need.
