data capture modifier to capture current state of model at that point in the modifier stack
Obviously when modifiers become node based this will be an irrelevant request, but in the meantime it would be really useful if you could capture the state of a model at any point in the modifier stack.
For example, lets say you want to transfer the normals before a boolean modifier back onto the same mesh after the boolean modifier. At the moment to achieve this you need to duplicate the object (or use something like mesh machine to do it for you).
A more powerful use could be if you are shrinkwrapping an object to a target object that has a bool modifier, but you want the shrinkwrap to shrink to the target objects appearance prior to it's boolean modifier. In this case you could use a data capture modifier before the boolean modifier on the target object, and then in the shrinkwrap modifier an extra parameter could be added which lets the user specify the name of one of the targets data capture modifiers (if any).
