Preserve viewport settings and the viewport camera while switching between workspaces

It would be great to be able to preserve the same viewport view, overlays, gizmos, and shadings while switching between the workspaces as an extra option. Workspaces allow switching between stacks of instruments in a fast and comfortable way. But when I model an object I'd love to see it from the same angle each time I switch between the modeling, sculpting or UV editing workspaces. Setting up the viewport each time we switch to another workspace takes a lot of extra time.

Having to setup viewport clipping in every workspace is a papercut.

i made a addon some time ago that sets the clipping to fit the selected objects, makes adjusting the clipping a charm:D github.com/kromar/blender_clipping_assistant

* @muhuk * the grid should also stop where clipping stops instead of going on forever

* @muhuk * This is exactly the one thing that I hate most on the entire Blender XDD

I like the fact that the different editors use their own view. That makes it so much easier to set up your own workspaces. Maybe you could press a lock to sync them to your other 3D viewports, but not by default!

The proposed solution is difficult and likely considered impractical to most people. The actual problem is "Setting up the viewport each time we switch to another workspace takes a lot of extra time." A good solution for this could be a "copy/paste viewport settings" operator.

workflow: copy settings from one of the five 3d viewports I currently have on my "layout" workspace, switch to the shading workspace, paste settings, continue working.
