"C" for copy, "V" for paste
copy and paste is the fundamental tools, why don't use traditional shortcuts like "Ctrl+C/V". if we can replace "Ctrl+A" to "A" then why not these.

In edit mode, copy and paste aren't commands, so you can't copy geometry from one object and paste it into another object. I think we need copy & paste commands in edit mode, so we don't have to do it the long way: duplicate, separate by selection, tab to exit edit mode, control+j to join (with the right object active), and tab to enter edit mode. It should just be as simple as copy, exit edit mode, enter edit mode of new object, paste.
