Enable Proportional Editing Tool (PET) in armature edit mode

The Proportional Editing Tool is for some reason available in the UI when in armature edit mode, however enabling it does nothing.

PET would be useful for armature edit mode for mainly 2 reasons:

  1. General reshaping of rigs and metarigs using proportional editing.

  1. PET would allow for editing of joints without the fear of disconnecting joints that are in the same position in space. Accidental disconnection of these "joint poles" are a common cause of confusing Rigify generation errors.

This idea was marked as a duplicate of proportional editing for bones.

Would be nice for sure. Vote for consistency!

Definitely yes! Though Blender doesn't have joints, but bones (joints are just points in space, bones are two joints and a selectable/transformable body). I reckon if PET had to be ported into armature edit mode, it would require to be able to ignore bodies (as an option?). 🤔
