Grid node X Y Z
It would make sens to me that the Grid nod has also a Z output.
Apparently the status Archived dosent's mean peoples don't see it as side effects master upvoted it.
I modify the post as i don't know how to add images in the comments.
So.
Playing aroud with "the mesh line grid array thing" to create a GridXYZ, I wanted to idicate that the "Realize Instance" node give corret result while appliying a noise on instance's position while "Mesh to Points" dosen't.

So I got two Down Votes based on wrong interpretation...? Cubes dosen't have vertices inside. Am I wrong...?
Indeed that's exactly how the Cube node looks.
Although, I'm now wondering if he means that a grid, with a Z value, would have internal vertices? I guess it would mean not having to do the mesh line grid array thing, which could be useful I suppose?
Although, although, it could create issues with normals... which way is an internal face facing?
There is no vertices inside a cube.
I think the grid dosen't have any faces, so there wont be normals issues. The aim is mainely to use it as instancer, like a cloner un C4D.
I know, I said as much in the reply you're replying to.
The grid does have faces. Every mesh primitive node, with the exception of Mesh Line, has faces unless you actively remove vertices with a Delete Geometry selection.
I'm sure its not beyond the whit of someone to code a cube node with internal vertices but no internal faces but its hardly a hardship to do Mesh Line > Instance on Points and add a Grid mesh primitive as the instance.
Thanks djshades
So I will do that.
It seems to me that it is mush more tidious that having something similar to a "C4D's cloner". But I don't code so maybe I don't realize...
Thanks
Hello @djshades I understand "the mesh line grid array thing" as you said. But now I'm confronted with the randomisation of the instances. It randomize only the "Mesh Line Instances" and not the "Grid Instances". Do you know how to solve this? (Sorry i don't know how to add pictures in comments.)
Congratulations, you've just invented the Cube node.
No, the cube dosen't have vertices inside.
