Blender - Zbrush - Substance painter workflow improvements

Hello guys,

I think it would be a good idea to focus on the Blender - Zbrush -Substance painter workflow improvement, as many of the professional studios are considering to implement Blender in their pipelines.

Basemesh in Blender, high-frequency details sculpted in Zbrush, UV and retopo back to Blender, texturing in Substance Painter, and Rendering in Blender.

For this workflow you need to focus:

  • on the Blender-Zbrush mesh export/import plugin that already exists,
  • on the better retopology and UVing options
  • on better texture map import from Substance painter.

This things are already functioning, they need only to be improved, for a faster, more intuitive workflow.

As Blender can't be compared with Zbrush or Substance Painter as a sculpting or texturing option for professional workflow, this way it could be a part of a professional pipeline, and find its way into the industry.

I want to thank you guys for all the hard work you've done so far in Blender, and wish you all the best in the future.

Imre
