Feature request: irregularity and variety to Grease Pencil strokes
The following are nothing new per se, just things that have already existed in other programs that would be nice for Blender's Grease Pencil to have too:
- Strokes for the 5 non-Draw drawing tools (Line, Arc, Curve, Box, Circle) lack thickness variety. The only current option is Thickness Profile which only controls thickness, not pressure, therefore it's not easy to get lines that "taper" at their ends in both thickness and pressure.
- Stroke texture lacks irregularity and variety. If Mode Type is Dots or Boxes, Alignment for textures is only Fixed, Object or Path, which all make textured strokes look uniform and boring. There should be a "Randomized" option for texture alignment, like how Photoshop rotates your brush every time you lift your pen up.
- All stroke parameters on the upper bar (Radius, Strength, etc.) apply to all brushes and materials which is very inconvenient. Each Brush should have a preset for those parameters, or each Material should remember its own parameter values so that you can switch between brushes and materials quickly without having to change parameters every time.

Hi, it looks like you're new to the RCS forum (welcome!). The format we like to stick to on this site is: one idea per post; each idea should be fleshed-out and, if possible, illustrated and mocked-up in Blender's interface. Sometimes people think they're ideas are perfectly clear, but since there are people from many different backgrounds, it helps to do it this way. This also helps the developers to choose which features to implement... if a post that has 100 upvotes also has six ideas, how can they judge that fairly against a post with one idea and 20 votes?
I like these ideas, I think 2 should be solved with a modifier, rather than a brush setting, however.
